After-Hours and Weekends

────

Children with acute illnesses are seen at our office at scheduled times after 5:00 pm Monday-Friday until 7:00 pm., and Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. After-hour appointments are scheduled during the day once our daytime appointments fill up. Our providers stay late to see the after-hours patients on a first arrived-first served basis in order to get children seen in the same day when our daytime appointments are full. Call us at (540) 344-9213 to book an appointment or utilize our self-scheduling tool using the links on our website.

Because of the demands placed upon us by children with acute illnesses and emergencies, we are unable to see children who have routine illnesses or non-acute problems after hours. We urge you to call our office during regular office hours for these types of problems.

After 7:00 p.m. , the provider on call or a licensed nurse takes emergency calls at home. He/she will remain on call until 8:00a.m. the following morning when our office reopens. The provider on call will attempt to respond promptly to urgent health care needs at night; however, he/she will not be able to answer routine questions or discuss routine problems. These calls should be directed to our office during the daytime.
